Shipping & Returns

Our Returns Policy

Most items may be returned within 15 days from the date of sale for a full refund less shipping charges. You will be responsible for all shipping fees. An RMA number is required for all returns. To obtain an RMA number, an RMA Request form must be filled out by logging in with your account, and then navigate to the "RMA Request" link in the Information box. Please fill out all form entries completely for quick and efficient processing. Once we receive the RMA Request, our Customer Service department will reply with an RMA number and return instructions. Any items returned without an RMA will be rejected and returned to you.

We are unable to accept returns of certain items, including:

  • Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts.
  • Any item that is not in its original packaging.
  • Any product missing the serial number or UPC.
  • Any Videos, DVDs, CDs or Audio tapes.
  • Any opened computer software.
Defective Videos, DVDs, CDs and audio tapes may be returned for a replacement item only.

Unwashed, unworn, or defective merchandise must be returned with copy of receipt. We will issue a credit to the original credit card for the cost of the item and the sales tax, if applicable. Please allow two billing cycles for the credit to appear on the credit card's printed statement. We do ask that you pay the cost of the original shipping. For a full item credit: returns must include all original attached tags, boxes, authenticity certificates and in original brand new condition. Items return without original tags, boxes, authenticity certificates or not in original new condition will receive a partial refund.

Cancellations

To cancel your order, please email your request to store1 at irm.org within 24 hrs of your purchase. You must include the order ID and explain the reason for the cancellation request. If your order is cancelled, you will receive an e-mail notice that confirms the cancellation. You will not be billed for any cancelled items. If you are interested in placing a new order or if you have questions about a cancelled order, please contact Illinois Railway Museum Online Store Customer Service at store1 at irm.org.

Shipping Information

Most items ship within seven (7) days. All orders shipped within the USA are shipped by USPS or UPS. Shipping costs are based on weight and calculated at time of checkout. Please check our shipping estimator at time of checkout.

All shipping charges are not refundable.

Freight charges for all returns will be the responsibility of the customer.
